My Greatest Weekend So Far In Life!

Aug 8 2010, 11:28 PM	Accomplished Tone Guru Posts: 959 Joined: 13-July 08 From: Oslo, NO	As some of you might remember from a previous thread, my band got the oppurtunity to play at the B-scene during a norwegian festival called Rauma Rock this year, via a competition called Øresus! We qualified from a "semi-finale" to play there the first day of the festival, with four other bands who had qualified like us. The concert at the friday night was the "grand-finale", where the winner would be allowed to play at the A-scene RIGHT BEFORE the headliners. AND WE WON! So at saturday 20:00 pm, my band stood at the largest scene we ever played! Though "only" 100-200 people where headbanging and diggin` us in front of the scene, I bet around 2000 people saw/heard us while sitting down with a beer! And things only got better! When we got backstage, artist after artist came to congratulate us. And now we`re talking about legendary norwegian artists who have been around for over 30 year in the game. They gave us tips, kudos and such, it was real great! We ended the night with an insane party at the hotel with all of the headliners. I have honestly neved had so much fun!
