Hi!

My name is Kirill, I'm Russian and I'm 14 years old (probaly the youngest GMC member biggrin.gif ). I started playing the guitar when i was aproximately 9 years old.
I played the classic guitar till this Christmas. After that I bought the Samick Royale 3. I started to search good site for studying the guitar and I should say that GMC was the best one.I can found nowhere such a friendly and responsive community.
As I haven't played the electric guitar for a long time yet, I'm not as good as I want at picking, tapping, soloing and other things which the classical guitar doesn't have. So I joined GMC to improve my skills.

Thanks for reading smile.gif

Hey Kirill,

Welcome to GMC, this is a great place to be, everyone is quite helpful smile.gif

Are you gonna be the next Yngwie Malmsteen? He started off with a strong classical music background around age 9-10, then developed that into Neo-classical metal, moving onto power metal, speed metal, heavy metal, hard rock! cool.gif

I couldn't stand it but classical music gives you a really strong foundation and you can based a lot of other styles of music from it! Just keep a smooth pace and don't rush yourself.

Todd is a great instructor on those video lessons, definitely check thoses out for developing pickings and tapping, etc.

Have fun!

Welcome on board! Samik guitars are really good instruments, they aren't well known, but I touched few of them in my local shop, and all were much better than anything in the same price range:) Good luck with practicing!
