Thanks to some gmc advice, I bought the Line6 POD UX1!
The problem now is that when I plug the POD in the computer,
I don't recieve any sound. I have a speaker attached to my computer.
I don't use the phones output on the POD. Should I connect the speaker of the computer to the POD?
Or is there an other way the recieve sound again. ( link the speaker to the POD via computer??)

Thanks in progress everyone!

Did you follow all of the instructions and install all of the software? Sometimes, it's easy just to grab it and go but then it might not work properly. Go through the instructions for setup again step by step and then check the manual, usually in the back, for a troubleshooting section. Then go to the manufacturer web site and try the forum for that particular product if it still doesnt. If you've bought it new, they will offer free support from the company.

Though somebody here probably has the same rig, and maybe they can work you through it.

Todd

Yes you should connect your speakers to the UX1.

The UX1 is a soundcard on its own so when you connect it windows wil use it as the main soundcard and your existing
soundcard ( to wich your speakers are connected to ) will not be used by windows.

When i used the UX1 as soundcard i hooked my studio monitors up at the back of the UX1 (left/right monitor)

if you have computer speakers with just one mini jack plug to connect you could use the headphone out of the UX1,
you will probably need a regular>mini jack converter like : http://shop.conrad.nl/multimedia/kabels-en...ter/302174.html

Don't worry man, everyone has these problems with POD.
Its just confusing I guess since POD is actually external sound card so connecting PC speakers to PC's internal sound card won't work.

Have fun with the unit and let us know if you have any more questions (I use UX2 which works great!) smile.gif
