> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi! My take on Jazz licks lesson by Ben Howell. Gear used: Hagström Viking, neck pickup, some reverb and delay. Added a little lick at the end but the rest of the lesson is as it is. Original lesson:

Cheers!

You nailed it again!

As far as I can see you really dig this style sound- and phrasing-wise !

I think the next step would be to improvise with similar licks.
And when it goes well, try to use some jazzy substitutions ( use E or A aeolian to the Cmajor7 end the phrase on the seventh etc...)
in order to make your playing more jazzy . . .

Let's see how far you get!

Good luck smile.gif

Hey man!

Nice to see another great take from you. This time it is flawless. I see you pretty much dig this style. Your phrasing is amazing. I really enjoyed listening to this take. A solid 10.

Cheers
