Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi! Here comes my take on Laszlo Boross' Swing-Jazz-Blues lesson.

My take:

Here is the original lesson:
Swing Jazz Blues

Gear used: Hagström Viking (center position - both pickups), Ross compressor, Fraverb reverb.
Cheers!
Emir B.

(and thanks for the comments on my last RECs, one can't reply on them in those threads, I'm taking every comment into account!)

I think it's a pretty cool piece and take as it's presented.

Towards the end you kind of let go of the tension a bit and it shows on the sound.

You are lacking that 0.1% confidence as to let it be known that you KNOW FOR A FACT THE PIECE PERFECTLY,

This style suits you very well.

You've made a nearly perfect take, I agree with Daniel Realpe.
You've missed some notes (really minor mistakes).
Swing is hard to play beacuse of the special time feel.
Try to play more like 'over the beat' and don't afraid to pick the strings a little more harder.

All in all it's an impressive take!
I gave you a 9

Cheers smile.gif
