Hi to all the guitar players from GMC! smile.gif

I'm Raimon from the Netherlands, I am 21 years old and I started to play the guitar a year ago but since than I haven't made much improvements because I had no structure at all (all I did was try to 'copy' songs from Youtube videos without knowing much about what I was doing).

So that's why I decided to subscribe to GMC to become a better player in the end, and I think this is the right place for me! I am looking forward to improve in playing the guitar and share my thoughts with you guys (and girls!) on the forum!

My favorite music is Funk (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and I love Jimi Hendrix, so that's also the kind of music I would love to play myself in the end!

The amount of video lessons is kind of overwhelming, but I think it's best to start with the Beginners Corner lessons, isn't it?

See you guys on the forum! cool.gif

Welcome Raimon! You are right, Bear's "Beginner's Corner" is the best place to start, you may also chech out Andrew Cockburn's "First Steps".

Hi K1R! Thanks! I know the very basics, like the most of the common chords, but the way they are taught in those Beginner lessons are very refreshing (using the backing tracks etc.), so that's where I'm going to start! smile.gif

Leuk! Ach leeftijd doet er niet toe, we vinden het allemaal leuk om gitaar te spelen en daar gaat het toch om of niet! smile.gif

Hi Ben! I already checked some of his videos and I think they are great! But unfortunately they are a little to hard for me at this moment, so I started the Beginners Corner lessons for now. smile.gif
