Hi guys,

Please spare a thought for my fellow Queenslanders during these terrible floods. About 2 dozen dead (around 12 of those in one flash flood), dozens missing, thousands already displaced and the floodwaters are yet to peak. sad.gif

If you are able to help financially, you can give through the Queensland Government website or Salvation Army.

My tribute....

It's all really very sad. It's going on in Australia (a hunk of land the size of Germany and France combined) and in Brazil. And there are entire flocks of black birds falling out of the sky for no reason all over the globe. Here in Atlanta (pretty warm usually) We have been snowed in for a week. The worst winter storms for several generations. Without starting a flame war, I'd like to share this post from ABCNews. Their site is running a story connecting some of the dots.

http://abcnews.go.com/International/extrem...ory?id=12610066

The really sad news is, it's predicted to get worse next year, and the year after, and the year after, .......

I hope it's not too late for us as a global community to make changes.

Todd

This is very sad indeed. I just hope if nothing else, this will bring people together...

There were floods here in Hungary, too...

Yes it´s very bad indeed. I´ve friends both out there in Oz and also in Brazil who have been affected though are thankfully safe and sound otherwise.

Feeling really sad about seeing all the suffering in QLD and also Brasil is going on.

Yesterday we say it on the news what the impact of nature is and how big the force of water is. We saw people fighting for there lives again devastating muddy floods.
It really made us sad looking at it.

I'm sure some members here are from Brazil. Anyone affected, or does anyone know if they're alright?

Zsolt - were you impacted by the Hungarian floods?

There were recently some floods here locally as well, and it is sad to see all these things happening to life on Earth. We should do something quick, like Zsolt said, I hope these dramatic changes will at least help people to change..
