I am struggling to shift my fingers from a D to a F. The chords are formed in a different shape and i am not allowed to use the basic ones.
The tab is here:

E|--------2-------|
B|--------3-------|
G|--------2-------|
D|--------0-------|

I have to change from that to this (they are eighth notes):

E|--------5-------|
B|--------6-------|
G|--------5-------|
D|--------3-------|

It looked easy at first but I've never dealt with these chords. I really need help and it's really bugging me.
Thanks this would help me a lot.
I have attached a guitar pro file with the bar I needed help with.

Two ways to play that chord:

1) 1 finger on each note
2) Barre the 5th fret with your ring finger

I'd say that option 1 is easier, just keep practicing the jump from the chord just before, to this chord.

Slow and regular practice. You'll get it in a few days.

Hey, you're a chord master! Why are you asking this?? biggrin.gif
Seriously, you can also change fingerings, trying this

D F
E||-------|--------||
B||--7----|--10----||
G||--7----|--10----||
D||--7----|--10----||
A||--5----|---8----||
E||-------|--------||

You can still play with 4 different fingers these chords or maybe use your ring finger or the pinky to play a little barre for 7th and 10th fret.
By the way, the notes are in the same octaves of your original solution.

Omg! That was so easy, I didn't even think of that. In part of the song there is a chord with that shape.
Thanks. biggrin.gif

You can also skip the D string completely, it won't make that much difference smile.gif
