> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/jumping-around-beginner/
Gear: LTD MH-50 and Boss GT-10

This is my second take on this lesson. On the first one I played without listening to myself (didn't know how to configure Garage Band to output my sound... hehe), and on the second one I discovered how to correctly configure everything, and tried to improve on vibrato. Just for the record, here's the link for the first take: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_Tf4v1qqCY

Very good effort on this take. Accurate timing again.. the only thing that counted against you was some of the vibratos made it sound slightly out of tune. When you practice your vibrato, try to listen and see if you're pushing the string out tune by only pushing it in one direction. A good way to make your vibrato sound more in tune is to direct your vibrato in both directions (rather than just up or just down) smile.gif

Yes, you just need to control your vibratos better.

Agreed with others on this one. I think the tone control is very good (mainly due to good muting technique), although your vibrato needs some work. Try to incorporate vibrato exercises in your daily routine in order to fix this.
