Hello!
I'm argentinian and new in the forum. I got awarded a three month subscription, and I would like to get the maximum benefit.
What lessons are a must?
I've been playing since I was 14 years old, being 21 now. My favourit bands are Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns and Roses and Whitesnake.
I'd like to improve on speed and scales.
Thank you all.

I think your English is perfect. I could read it, and it's my native language. wink.gif

Search for those bands and the styles you like in SEARCH bar - I'll bet you can find all sorts of stuff! smile.gif

Check the GNR - Yesterdays Solo Lesson.
And here's Deep Purple's song Burn.
Into Whitesnake style? Check that lesson. smile.gif

I hope this gets you started. Good luck! Great to have a new face in the forum. cool.gif

And congrats on the awarded subscription. wink.gif

Hey mate, welcome to GMC! smile.gif

Learning the theory is equally important as learning technique, and since you are already spent some time with guitar, you passed the initial test of sticking with it. This proves that you have some technique at your disposal, and should work on some theory.

By checking out the bands you named, you probably know pentatonic scale, and some riffs. Do you want to focus more on lead or rhythm? Focusing more on lead will require same set of theoretical skills as for rhythm, only the technique skills are a bit different.

If you haven't checked the diatonic scale, I advise you to do so. Check out this lesson. It contains the diatonic scale. If you have any questions, please let us know, we'll be glad to help! smile.gif

Hey man! Welcome to the site! Checking your influences I'm sure that you'll enjoy Lucio's lessons. You could start learning his awesome series of lesson based on the complete style of Slash & AC/DC. You'll find rhythm and Lead guitar lessons based on the different sub styles of those bands.
I hope that you enjoy the site! and let us know if you need more suggestions or guidelines! smile.gif

Hi Daro, welcome to GMC ! smile.gif Your English is great cool.gif

As Gabriel said, if it's AC/DC you need then there's a whole series of lessons devoted to the style of AC/DC which are featured on the very front page of GMC.. if you click the picture, you can then click Lucio's profile which will take you to his other AC/DC lessons smile.gif

Oh, yes.. and the Slash series is also unmissable ! biggrin.gif

Welcome to GMC biggrin.gif Theres no need to apologize for your English, because its not that bad, especially for someone who speaks it as a second language.

If it makes you feel better, theres some native speakers here in the US that have a very poor command of the English language, like the ones pictured below. tongue.gif

Congratulations on the win! You are gonna LOVE it here. This is, hands down, the best guitar site I've ever found. I've looked long
and hard and have not found one better. The instructors, the community, it's killer.

Welcome!
Todd
