Hi gang,

This is a sort of silly side-project I am working on. These are just some rough demos, but I'd love some feedback. If you like it please consider becoming a fan on Facebook!

Thanks!

Hey those are some cool riffs, I like it smile.gif Sounds a bit like Maiden. I think you need to work a bit more on vocals tho. The choruses are OK, but verses need a bit more thickness in the vocals. Perhaps lowering down the tune just a bit?

Anyway, awesome job with the song and arrangement smile.gif

Yeah I agree with Ivan. Those are great ideas but the vocals need work. Not to worry, it's understandable since in power metal most vocalists are trained professionals with a wide range of octaves, it's a good exercise and it will only make you and the music better IMO. smile.gif

Thanks for listening! I think at this point, most of the vocal issues are do to my shortcomings as a recording engineer/producer and our lack of a nice condenser mic, rather than major problems with the singing itself.

The vocals on Kreacher, which sound better IMO, were done using a Samson USB Condenser mic. I should have used it again for Order, but instead I used a crappy digital reference dynamic mic. It came in sounding really thin. I eq'd, compressed and reverb'd it the best I could, but I'm still not really happy with the way it sounds.

But these are just demos to get the songwriting and arrangements down. We plan to re-record everything at full pro-quality once the whole album is written. The idea is to make a concept album that tells the back story of all the books.
