Never used Guitar Pro, just like thefireball, I am also cheap. biggrin.gif When I'm learning a cover I usually just rely on tabs, using my ears and a copy of the song I want to learn to make sure I get it right and that the tabs are accurate. Then if I need to, after I learn it I rewrite the accurate tab in a notebook so I have a copy in case I need it.

I use GP for every lesson: I like the speed trainer function and the fact that you can have use some pre sets like crunch, clean, blues, High gain which make it nice to use.
