> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Great take ! I was bordering on a 7 for this because a lot of the slides weren't played, however you played everything else so well, especially the bends, that it had to be an 8 biggrin.gif

So, something for you to work on would be sliding between frets.. this will really help you achieve that slick guitar ballad style that people like Satriani do so well. I think sliding is quite a difficult thing to get right.. I certainly remember being frustrated about them.. but with just a bit of focus on that aspect it won't take long smile.gif

Aside from Ben's advices, I'd add this - listen closely to father Luke himself for inspiration!

Hear how he slides in this tremendous song:

Well played smile.gif Adding the slides in will really complete things. Your vibrato is good and your timing is good as well. A bit more and you've nailed it!

It's OK, timing is cool, and so are the bends. Tone is a bit fuzzy, and vibratos need more work, they need to be more controlled, slower..
