Hi Guys, my band The Reckoning played a gig Saturday night and here's an audio track of us playing Phantom Of The Opera by Iron Maiden. It's rough and the audio is from the mic of the video camera !! So be kind.. buuut the really cool thing is that GMC's very own Chris Evans was filling in on second guitar ! He drove for over 3hrs to play the gig and he is an absolute star for doing it.. thank you Chris !!

Here is the thread where I mentioned that we're looking for another guitar player.. Chris is helping us out again later this month but in the meantime we're still looking for a permanent member as we can't make him drive all around the country with us !! laugh.gif

That was actually pretty awesome man, sound quality wasn't too bad. Nice to hear, this was like the first song I learned back in the day that I considered "difficult" laugh.gif

Nice job as well Chris

Sounded very convincing Paul Di Anno Maiden era, really! Great band!

Chris, just fabolous! Pulling an entire gig off from "distance", especially after 3 hours behind the wheel that's worth mentioning too.

thanks Micke, it was a long drive, it shouldnt have been as long as that (it took me just over two hours to get home) but traffic getting there was terrible!

I had plenty of time to relax before the gig not to mention the rather tasty pizza and mug of tea that Ben`s girlfriend Ninna had kindly supplied me with biggrin.gif

The biggest task has been learning the songs in such a short space of time, but Ben has been there either on email or skype to help with any parts and has also supplied me with anything and everything I`ve needed in terms of GPro files etc, of course playing with a band that I hadnt even met before let alone practiced with was daunting but the guys were excellent and it all fitted nicely in my opinion smile.gif

The footage was quite dissapointing as so many people got in the way of the cam, plus they turned the lights off in the room so it doesn't look very good :-( But we hope to get better footage of our next gig with Chris in just under 3 weeks time biggrin.gif
