"Misconception" - riffing n picking lesson

Here is a cool passage from Sean which has a sound typical to heavy, "drop D" metal.

You will build stamina and practice your picking in this one!

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

haha Kris, "A Heavy Bumble Bee". You can get some funny imagery if you think of a metalhead bumble bee jammin out.

Gen, the guitar I use is the OLP version of the Petrucci model. It's an excellent value. I used to have the 7-string Petrucci model, not anymore though. Anyway, awesome guitar!

You got a great sound with that guitar, and your amp sounds great, what kind you use?

Sean: Thx for that answer! smile.gif Btw, the sound is awsome, and your playing too^^ I started this lesson yesterday, its a very good exercise i think! I thougt it was a little bit hard for me with my 8 month playing but i was wrong, with some time(a lot of time:D) you can do it! im still not doing it very good but maybe in a few weeks...^^
