hey guys and gals, what do you need for playing on the stage or in studio? Other than instrument and guitar cable, is there something else there? Distortion pedal, processor, mojo? biggrin.gif

And of course an amp (mine has effects on board), a foot switch, a mic for the amp and another mic for me, picks, water...and that's about it.

I need a wah pedal, i just love the nonsense of an old wah on a jack'd marshall, it works everytime.
I also need foam on my mic cause i get the nastiest shocks everytime, a couple of beers, good strong cables and my band mates smile.gif.

taking about moods, maybe its just me, but im never in the mood for a gig, im all day in a very bad mood, i get very anxious, i just want to get it done and go home.

BUT, when im on stage, i feel like im being 100% honest about myself, its one of the best sensations of freedom and honesty.

Hmm, a good night sleep, water, a proper sound check, prepped guitars, my pedal board.

Also, some of the above may go wrong, BUT if the crowd goes wild, I tend to forget that I am thirsty/ not hearing my guitar or the other guys as I should/ my guitar is slightly out of tune smile.gif

I don't know if this happens to you as well but people keep asking me all night 'So, what time are you on ?' again and again... it drives me nuts ! In an ideal world, I'd like to not have to answer any questions, shouting in people's ear over the noise/music and hurting my throat. The other thing I really can't do before playing a gig is listen. Listening to a conversation is really not high on my list of priorities !! wink.gif
