GMC,

Please give my new song a listen. I haven't regularly played the piano in a while. I wrote this track with the electric piano and then I recorded MIDI strings on top of them. I recorded the lead with my electric guitar. This song was written in the midst of an emotional roller coaster.

I called the song, Paths.

-Brandon

Excellent tune !I like your guitar lines, very melodic ! I assume that you are deliberately avoid the drums, that's ok, but...whether you're shooting with a click ? Some of the guitar phrases are out of sync a bit, have a feeling like you're rushing somewhere ! smile.gif

Yeah, I tried to go for the free feeling. It's also a challenge to make sure the guitar parts are in sync just as I recorded them, since Reaper puts the track a little bit ahead of where I played originally. Glad you enjoyed though!

I also recorded the piano without a click of some kind. Next time I want to do it with one because it doesn't stay at the tempo I needed it. Oh well.

smile.gif You know, this is the first time I ever let my heart compose the music. Other times it was whatever was cool. But this track was just me talking about my hardships. Dark Satriani - lol - I've been listening to him a lot lately. laugh.gif Piotr was my inspiration mainly. I love his Guitar Loves Piano lessons.
