Gabriel -- what do you think of the idea of putting an EQ into the effects loop of my amp to shape tone. Looking to remove some top end from my Fender Blues Deluxe. Tim

Gab can answer this in detail, just on a side note that this type of EQ connection often served as a boost on the gigs.

I must say that I've never used EQ into the loops effects so I can't say if this is a good idea or not. However I remember that many guys here gave this idea some time ago when I said that I wasn't 100% happy of my amp's sound so it must work. I always thought that the EQ is a process that you should insert into your signal, as the compressor for example. However I can imagine that adding the EQ into the loop allows you to equalize the signal after the preamp so you can shape your sound better. I suggest you to experiment with it and if it works good for you, it's ok. There are no rules in this type of things, experimentation is the key. smile.gif
