The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I've been practicing this one for about a week and since I'm on vacation right now, this means some considerable time invested. Unfortunately I never really practiced bending and vibrato-stuff before I came here, so this was very hard for me and I feel there's still a long road ahead of me, especially with the vibratos which still tend to control me rather than the other way round. The bendings I think worked more or less fine on this take, although I later noticed that the big one at 0:30 is not only out of tune (as it was most of the time) but also out of timing (which worked fine on other takes). The rest of the take reflects my abilities quite well. Out of what I can see and hear, you have to work a little more in order to control the strings, but slow is good so: pay attention to the pitch and rhythm, use your ears all the time and let your hands loose - bending is a very important technique which needs to be mastered before more other seemingly more flamboyant things All the best and keep rocking mate! Also I noticed that a few slightly faster passages need to be practiced separately (example 00:16). By the way I have to add that I think you chose a perfect lesson within your range which will improve your bend/tone control tremendously. Sep 7 2011, 09:41 AM	Instructor Posts: 13.792 Joined: 11-March 10 From: England	Hi Lenni, I think this take, although not perfect, is really good The tone you're using doesn't help because it doesn't have much sustain but if you had a 'juicier' tone I think it would automatically sound 20% - 50% better. You've got 2 very important aspects needed - an awareness of certain weaknesses and a desire to change them. So, you're in a great position to develop brilliant bending and vibrato skills. You said yourself about how the vibrato controls you, not the other way around. This is the scenario I use to describe things to people when talking about improving vibrato so you have half of the job done already by recognising that ! Most of the time I would say your bends were good. Like anything, more time spent honing these skills will improve them. This is a good lesson to persevere with, as Kris says. As the previous instructor said there are some things to improve but you are on the right track. Search for some lessons based on vibrato and bending to continue working on this expressive technique.
