QUOTE (Gabriel Leopardi) hi man! Welcome to the site!! Let us know how we can help you! And if you need any specific explanation in Spanish you can send me a PM. (I'm from Argentina ). Enjoy the site! Thanks Gabriel, nice to hear, i'll let you know if i need QUOTE (Ivan Milenkovic) Welcome aboard man! If you need any help at all to find your way in the GMC archive/community, you let us know! What are you practicing at the moment? Do you work on some song, or exercises? I´m basically doing excersises, because i haven't got the level to play the songs i would like to. Sometimes I'm learning parts of Symphony Of Destruction or Five Magics from Megadeth but can't connect them, and i can't play them at the necesary speed, but no problem i keep memorizing them, some day i will play it correctly. I prefer to do excersises now , and later it will be easier to learn songs i'm working in: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...inger-work-out/ It looks hard, and........it is! hehe https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...ernate-workout/ This one is wonderfull, i know its level 5, but i'm doing it at 80 bpm , and pushing to 90 sometimes to go back to 80 and feel it slow : ) so i can do it easier. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/natura...monics_in_solo/ Harmonics and some bending, also moving a bit on the fretboard https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/triad_arpeggios_etude/ sweeppicking , i almost got it, i can do it at 100bpm : ) love it https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/slow_rock_solo/ this one is hard for me, even at low speed , many notes in short time, difficult to keep the ....flowing? , but i keep trying QUOTE (Ben Higgins) Welcome ZX6 !! That's excellent to hear that GMC has already helped you so much. Don't worry about your English, you are doing fine Please do ask us anytime if you need any help with anything Thanks man, finally i introduced myself in the forum , i was too busy practicing QUOTE (tonymiro) Always nice to see another member from Spain - there's a few of us here btw and also some from Portugal and the Latin Americas Sure ! good to know best regards Gracias a tí también Fortinero QUOTE (Michael AC) Welcome and your not too old! I am 43 and enjoy getting to play out once in a while. These youngsters on here are great! LOL! Music is a great gift of enjoyment, glad you are pursuing it! Thanks man, i will enjoy it for sure. QUOTE (MonkeyDAthos) man you are NEVER to OLD for STAGE!!!! And welcome to GMC!! Cheers from Portugal! QUOTE (Blister) Hola ZX6 & welcome . Age is just a number my friend (ok, I'm 48). Keep practicing & see you in the forum & video chats! ...well,....maybe not too old , but i sweat like a pig if somebody is watching me playing Cheers , thanks for welcome ....... so..... i'm not alone in the asylum thanks to Daniel Realpe, Kristofer Dahl , Sinisa and Cosmin too cheers, sorry for so long post guys |

You are working on becoming a great lead player, those techniques will help a lot. Focusing on arpeggios will provide the foundation for great melodic passages, and there are some great techniques used here for applying them on any note in order to create a nice polished solo. I also very much advise working on bending, vibrato and chords in the same time. Those areas will cover and circle the set of skills you need for great soloing. Try Ben's Vibrato Odyssey series, or my Chord Workshop Series, you will see that only going through and playing along will already produce some interesting results!
