Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate! Your take is shaping up nicely and to make it perfect, here's what I'd suggest:

- turn the backing track volume a wee bit higher
- work on your articulation skills - meaning, bending and vibrato, until they are smoother and into pitch
- I think that the chord at the end sounds a little bit strange - could it be due to the fact that the guitar was a little bit out of tune?

Work on the details with a lot of attention and everything you'll record from that point on, will be much much better!

Well played, I think you did faster bits good as well. Next to great advices by Cosmin on how to improve I should add that you should spend more time in creating a more dynamic preset, and play it with more dynamics. It seems that there was lots of gain/compression going on, so it resulted in sounding too even and a bit boomy.

Also, the intonation on the guitar needs to be fixed.

Hi smile.gif Great advice from Cosmin and the guys.

It sounds like the G string was a bit flat ( under the required pitch) which wasn't helping you. However I think your timing and ability to play the phrases is really good.

I would also recommend working on your vibrato, which will give the notes some extra impact and feel. Feel free to send me or any of the instructors a private message and we can help you with these things smile.gif
