Deffinitly Mikael Akerfeldt for me.. he just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The Lamentations DVD is ultimate but I cant wait till I get the chance to go see them live. Hopefully will be seeing them in Amsterdam next time they go on tour.

When i went to GIGANTOUR I was fortunate enough to get very good position for the show (Front And Center! smile.gif ) and when Opeth played, When Mikael Played the solo to "A Fair Judgement", Good God, it sent chills up my spine.

PS
Opeth are Amazing Live, which you already know since you own Lamentations!

I'm the most emotional guitar player I know of, when I play something wrong I cuss and I curse and sometimes I scream and just want to slam the guitar into the wall.

Perhaps not the most emotive but Jeff Beck would be in my top ten - Cos we ended as lovers.

Cheers,
Tony

In my opinion it's 100% Jimmy Hendrix. He's not the best technique and his style may be a little sloppy but if I hear his version of star spangled banner from Woodstock in 1969 it makes my flash crawl.
