Hey everyone. I'm brand new to GMC. I've gotten to look at a few video lessons and I have to say I'm impressed with what I've seen.

I have been playing for almost 32 years and have a fearless love for everything Hard Rock. My favorite band (at this moment) is Whitesnake because of Doug Aldrich.

I'm a tone freak and have worked on my guitar tone for about 5 years and have finally found my holy grail tone. It's not that hard but expensive. There are less expensive ways to get there but what can I say....I had to have the best for what I can afford.

I look forward to hearing from you all and getting to know many of you.

Joseph Z

Welcome! Whitesnake all the way. I always thought Sykes had an extreme tone and I always used to think that was a Marshall during Whitesnake. Appearantly it was a Mesa Coliseum. Pretty unreachable...

Welcome Joseph! I am a Doug Aldrich Fan myself! biggrin.gif I had the opportunity to perform in the same festival with Whitesnake this summer (even if we played in different days) tongue.gif but nonetheless that guy is a tremendous guitarist and a very talented producer and musician in the same time! Feel free to ask us anything you wish to know and drop by at the video chat sessions if you'd like! We discuss all sorts of interesting topics, from technique to theory, phrasing, improvisation, tones, riffing..you name it wink.gif Mine is usually happening each Thursday at 8 o'clock London time! See you around the forum man!

Welcome to the site Joseph ! cool.gif

I also spent a long time trying to find my tone.. I eventually found it through vintage style pickups and a Marshall JVM. I'm interested to know what your rig is ? smile.gif
