Maybe you don't know Kristian Niemann, a swedish guitarist. He used to play with Therion.

check out that blazing solo solo at 2:22 ! his work with therion is technically incredible, I really like his style and vibrato!

Do you know any underrated guitar player?

I believe Kris actually had some lessons from him some years ago, or knows him somehow. But he is definitely a beast.

I agree about Marco, he is awesome player, part of modern generation. He's compositions are done with taste, lots of cool melodies, but he can turn out afterburners and make it sound impossible if he wants to.

Hm, maybe you can't call him underrated because he isn't that known cross-country, but, anyway, I would like to give a recommendation to Thomas Blug:

I really like his kind of playing.

regards Andreas

Couldn't agree more about Kristian Niemann - as mentioned I had the huge privilege of having private lessons with him! His legato and vibrato is mind blowing.

I would like you to hear this guitar player, old school, well known in the Balkan region, but he never had deserved place on a world scale.
Unique style, combined with Macedonian odd rhythms, which are among the hardest in the world!

Amazing talent

And WOW.... Trance/Dance with guitar? Very Impressive to be able to jump outside your own style and join other musical genre's and add something as good as this!
