Hey Guys, do you normally stick to specific meal times throughout the day or do you just eat when you're hungry ?

I never gew up with specific meal times so I'm quite used to just taking food when I require, instead of religiously sitting down at specific times of the day to eat.

Also, in some countries it's normal to have your main hot meal at lunch time (early afternoon) but in other countries the main hot meal is in the evening.

So, what are your meal habits ?

Well, since we ARE TALKING ABOUT FOOD AGAIN tongue.gif

I wake up at 8 each day and have my breakfast at about 8.30 and then lunch, around 2 PM, followed by a few sandwiches and fruits around 10 PM when I am not hitting the gym. I usually go to the gym at about 9.30 PM so, no food before pumping iron!

Breakfast - 8 am.

Mid morning (I don't usually bother but wife and daughter do) - 11am

Lunch time is the same as most people in S Spain 2-4 pm. My daughter finishes school at 2 and so comes home for lunch.
Eating together as a family, especially lunch, is quite a big thing here and we always try to do this.

Merienda - 6pm

Dinner - anywhere between 9 -11pm. Occassionally can be very late - i.e. after midnight - during Summer vacation or if there's a fiesta on. Dinner is usually 9pm if we're at home and our daughter has school the next day.

It's very easy to spot tourists who aren't used to local eating times - they're the ones sitting in the empty bars/restaurants at mid-day or early evening wondering why no one else is eating there wink.gif .

Hmm, we eat when we're hungry, but I must say lately I've been hungry a lot more than usual laugh.gif

In general, good breakfast at 9 (at the latest), medium lunch around 2-4, dinner around 8-9. When I go to a gig, I lunch a bit later, and eat something after the gig, so around 1-2AM. I eat fruit and some chocolate during the day tho, and drink coffee..
