Actually, the Chantilly one's real close to me too. I thought I knew that area pretty well (mmm...Willard's BBQ) but I had no idea there was a music shop back there. Will have to check it out.

I'm looking to maybe start taking some in-person lessons this summer if I can keep up a regular practice schedule. While I'm learning a lot here, one thing I think I need is that "stop right there you're doing that wrong" immediateness of having someone in the room with you that knows what they're doing.

His rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was one of the things that kicked me in the *ss and made me realize that I needed to learn shred and everything else - I downloaded a track that was labelled as a Yngwie track but was him - I was amazed, and decided to learn shred so I could use it casually in a melodic context rather than making everything about shred, just as Chris Impelliteri did in "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" .... so he's a big part of why I am here smile.gif
