I have decided that I am most comfortable playing on Double cutaway guitars for easy fret access down low.
I also have decided I prefer 24 fret guitars with fixed bridges.
Scale length is not as important to me, 25.5 or 24.75 is OK with me.
So, I ended up keeping:
Ibanez Prestige RGA121 (24 fret, 25.5 scale)
Fender Showmaster FMT HH (24 fret, 25.5 scale, has a simple set-up whammy bar also)
ESP LTD Viper 400 (24 fret, 24.75 scale)
Dean Vendetta XM (24 fret, 25.5 scale)
Gibson Les Paul Faded Special - (22 frets, 24.75 scale, but it was my only guitar that did not sell)
Sold were my:
ESP LTD EC-400 - 24 fret, single cutaway
Fender 60th Anniversary Edition Strat - 21 frets
Carlo Robelli 12 string acoustic
Carlo Robelli 6 string acoustic
House of Blues 6 string acoustic
Dean Edge 4 bass
I also sold my:
Marshall MG15CDR practice amp
Marshall MS-2 mini amp
Smokey mini-amp
Gorilla TC-35 practice amp
Marshall Bass amp
FIVE Digitech distortion pedals
I am really starting to figure out what I like and this is a good thing.
I am also kind of glad the Les Paul did not sell, I think I'll keep it.
$599 starting bid with a Gibson hardshell case and people did not go for it???
It is one of my best playing guitars, I guess I can deal with tougher fret access once in a while.
Are there any other guitars that you guys can think of that might fit the bill for me????
I also figured out that my Roland cubes can get me pretty much any sound I desire, from mild to wild distortion or nice cleans.
I am not big on effects, a simple Cry Baby wah is perfect when I want it.
