Hey Guys.. what's the most difficult part of the music / song creation process for you ? If it's an actual song, then writing lyrics is probably the most difficult part for me. Up until then, the arrangement is the most challenging aspect.

What do you think ?

Yeah, some people can just sit down and let lyrics just flow out of them. I have to sit there for ages and oncentrate intensely !! laugh.gif

Recording myself singing laugh.gif Seriously, I haven't really done that yet, have to get into it.
Writing lyrics is not much of a problem for me once I sit down and get busy.
Coming up with guitar parts other than chord progressions can be challenging.
Drum programming can be a real pain, but for now I stick to the predefined EZ drummer patterns.

Creating a satisfying melodic vocal line can be challenging to me. Also, the same as Sollesnes, to stop adding arrangements or changes,

For me arranging is not that bad, because I really enjoy it

Communication -

musicians and producers usually have an idea of how they want their project to sound. Whether or not they communicate that vision effectively to me is another matter smile.gif .

Lyrics, no doubt. I have no problems with drum programming, really.
Then, mixing the whole thing is another story.

GOOD POINT! I used to have that problem a lot, but now I think I managed to get a hold on myself and not flood a song with 20 layers of guitars biggrin.gif

IMHO - the vocal line is the most difficult thing to come up with, finding THOSE lyrics to fit with the vocal line is what really matters to make a song BE AWESOME!
