Hey Franskter!
I am glad that you will be playing with a band! It's a really good experience and you will have a lot of fun!
When I need to come up with a solo I am trying to start simple and develop my solo towards the end try to use question-answer strategy
and make stops in between phrases it will get listeners attention and will make your solo sound more interesting.
Also what worked for me in the past is to play the vocal melody and to ad more notes in to it perfect example would be
Perfect example of question and answer is Van Halen solo in When It's Love

I hope it helps!
Good luck to you! And let me know how it went!

Hey man! Good melodic choices! Pay a little more attention to the rhythm as it's not as tight in some places, but if it's your first, I can only congratulate you and wish you well on your journey as a lead player biggrin.gif

Sounds really good! I think you got the song vibe very well! Maybe on the second part go octave higher and play the same thing?
But you did a great job! I fits the song great!

Hi!

Many thanks for the great answers.

The band colleagues already heard my composition and they liked it smile.gif

At the meantime I tried to find melody and solo for about 7 others songs and they liked it too smile.gif

Thanks
Frankster
