Welsh folk singers worth checking are Meic Stevens who's known too be a bit wild and Tecwyn Ifan, his song Gwaed ar yr eira gwyn (Blood on the white snow) is a classic. I already have one pretty damn good song done, and I just tuned my Mandolin down to Open C and it sounds good. I might write with that as well. I am getting together with a buddy tomorrow who is going to school to be a recording engineer, so I might be posting a couple songs. Definitely let me know what your guys think if I post them.
