> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Gary Moore Style Ballad by Piotr Kaczor

Thanks to Piotr for this beautiful Ballad solo. Ben directed me towards this lesson a while back to help develop my Vibrato.... I have been working on this for a while and didn't plan on posting a take but was playing around today and thought it sounded worthy enough to post....I hope.... I used my new AXE FX 2, Washburn N5, then into Reaper and Vegas. Much better sound quality if watched in HD. Thanks for the comments...Have a good new year

Ok I'm speechless. I mean it when I say that was a world class performance that you would expect from a pro guitarist on stage. There are famous guitarists out there that don't have your level of melodic control and passion.

Absolutely nothing to add.

Excellent expression and such a nice tone. I think you done very well here. The only problem I see is vibrato. Sometimes you do it left-right, but you should try to do it up&down all the time, try correcting this. Some of the vibratos are a bit shallow on some parts, specially when you bend and vibrate the note. Other then that, it's awesome.
