First of all thank you guys for coming! It was nice to see you all!
NEXT LESSON IS ON TUESDAY 10 p.m. London Time Here are two tracks that we did in styles POP and Rock! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/video-lesson-pop http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/video-lesson-rock Chord progression is Verse: Cmaj-Gmaj-Ami-Fmaj Chorus: Cmaj-Gmaj-Fmaj-Gmaj Form is Intro - Verse- Prechorus - Chorus- Solo - Chorus I recorded 5 tracks for each song + solo When you are recording guitar it's a good idea do double the main track octave higher it will help you to open up the track and will make it sound fuller! Also if you want to bring up the chorus you can use ghost melodies that will be hidden in the mix so you can barely hear them it will make a bigger development for the chorus and will make it more massive! Equipment used: Fractal AXE-FX Ultra2, Apogee Ensemble, Tom Anderson telcaster Next lesson we will be talking about polyrhytm and how to approach it! Thanks Alex, you read my mind. I joined the chat late on Friday & wasn't sure if your composition was going to be uploaded. I was going to ask during the lesson if you would be placing the bt on the forum but I basically "chickened out" & was self conscious about asking. I added the soundcloud clips to my post to make it easier for others interested to download (I hope this was ok?).
