Hi GMC!

I am new here, I would like to introduce myself.

I am from Hungary.

I learned when I was 10 until 19 of my year ages to play the guitar. (40 year old now..)
Unfortunately, because of other reasons it has to be stop.
I forgot everything sad.gif

I promised it to myself, that as soon as I will have an opportunity again, I will playing guitar again.
So, Twenty years passed away unfortunately, but I'm here, and I would like to play music again.
This quite a lot of time, I know, but my enthusiasm it huge. biggrin.gif

My favorites: The Doors, Metallica, Radiohead, Editors, Pink Floyd ...
I love Alternative music, Metal, Blues, Rock etc.

I just bought a new guitar: Bigson
(yeah .. I know similar to Gibson, but it's made here(Hungary) and the name from a Hungarian name joke: big-son)

anyway, Gibson Les Paul Studio is my big favorite guitar. smile.gif

Glad to be here GMC!

Sorry for my English.

Hello Jeff! Welcome to GMC mate! We are always glad to help out and if you have any questions whatsoever do not shy away from asking us smile.gif

Also, take some time to explore the site and see what sort of interesting features you may bump into biggrin.gif for instance, if you check out the bottom of the homepage, you shall see the video chat sessions schedule wink.gif mine is happening each Thursday at 8 PM London time and i am currently hosting a series of sessions on modes.

Otherwise, I would be honored if you would give a shot on Cosmin's Licks Workshop an activity I started last month. I am coming up with a new lick each week and assignments around it so that you may re-enforce your arsenal constantly.

all the best

Cosmin

I'm a little bit confused, because it's so much really good stuff here in GMC.
(It would learn everything in one according to a man's mood smile.gif )

I work on the practice picking and try to learn it how keep of the rhythm.
Chords, I do not know it some I tried to study for new one, but i don't know that it makes sense now.
What I tried it was "Bear Open chords lesson",I was cool I like it. Simple but after all most useful.

Do you have any advice to how and what should I practice?

Thanx
Jeff

Welcome Jeff! Try to find some songs you would like to learn. You can probably find a song you like right here on GMC. Just type it in the search bar at the top and see what you find. smile.gif The instructor usually will have the chord names in the video and you can quickly learn to play a song with just chords. We hope you find everything you need here at this site. Just be patient with yourself and you will succeed here at GMC. smile.gif smile.gif

Hi Jeff and welcome to GMC! Great to hear you are back to guitar after such a long break.
Its like riding a bicycle - you can't forget it. I would recommend Bear's Beginners Corner lesson series for start - just to get all the basics down.
