FRIDAY AUGUST 17th - VCHAT LESSON NOTES

Hi guys! In this session I will show and give tips to compose a metal song using a multitrack software (Nuendo) and some VSTi. First, I will ask the students online for some suggestions of metal bands that will be used as the inspiration of the track. We will choose one band, analyze their most popular songs and try to create something based on them. This is the first time that I do a session like this one so let's experiment! and please give me all the feedback that could help to make the session cool. smile.gif

You can start suggesting bands here!

See you at the Chat Room! wink.gif

EDIT: We chose the band Avenged Sevenfold and after analyzing "Afterlife" and "Nightmare" I composed this riff that would be the verse of the song.

Megadeth, Bullet For My Valentine. Megadeth can get progressive sometimes. Mustaine's songwriting and arrangement is always awesome, and the riffs always progress, lead one into the other. smile.gif Will be a really great, and challenging too, maybe.
