> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Here a quick recording @ 90bpm. I played along the gp-file:

https://soundcloud.com/mad-gmc/nastymetariff-90bpm

I need to increase by 2 bpm steps and work my way up to the 146bpm blink.gif biggrin.gif
I think these are 16th played at 146 bpm.. for me that's hard to play clean atm, even a few notes.

You have no clue how nasty this lick is in a live context laugh.gif Mate, I suggest you to practice it on a clean tone smile.gif at the same tempo, or even slower, until you can hear EVERY note as clear as a bohemian crystal glass biggrin.gif

Much better! biggrin.gif Congrats mate! Now, all you would have to do in order to have the perfect sounding slowed down version of this riff, would be to play all the notes at the same intensity smile.gif Can we have another take having this in mind and adding it on top of the way it sounded in this last recording?

This is more like it smile.gif Let's raise it up to speed gradually, but keeping the same timing, tightness and dynamics biggrin.gif Easy does it, 5 bpms at a time, k?

Hey Marc, it's a long way indeed man smile.gif I know you probably want to play it faster, but trust me, slow is the way to go biggrin.gif

Take care when playing the hellish lick, you are chocking some notes smile.gif

Will do so smile.gif
And yes - I'm choking a few notes sometimes, but it's quite hard, when you play that riff 15 minutes or longer, everything works fine with that tempo - but when you press record ... dry.gif

Are there any other practice-routines you can recommend that I can combine with this?

Hmmmm, there was this lesson from Muris, based on alternate picking that involved picking inbetween strings - it will help you sort out your movements a lot in situations where you have to deal with not so usual forms played on adjacent strings.

Here it is - I don't want you to do it at full speed right away, but work on it and get acquainted with the movements smile.gif

Awesome! What are your favourite lessons you learned/want to learn? Are there any other Muris lessons you can recommend me (maybe I make a small list for let's say this year biggrin.gif )?

Well, I learned Mojo Oro 1 and 2, but haven't played them in 5 months, so I forgot everything laugh.gif I also know Alternate picking Upstrokes and Picking and Legato - the one having the greatest level. I also know one with tapping and legato and this one I recommended to you smile.gif

I think that if you tackle these and get them flowing, you are the man!
