> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Thanks again for helping me out with that Cos!
I definately need to work on my wrist vibrato and for doing a decent one on the 6th string 1st-4th fret I need some more strength.
I'll work on this the next days (just to get that strengh and so a better control) and after this I'll post the result, OK?

To keep you busy, too ( tongue.gif ) you'll get a take on your meta lesson asap

Cheers
Marc

Oh man - wish I could be there biggrin.gif

I started with that vibrato at the 5th fret and working my way down to th 2nd - if that makes sense huh.gif
This night I'm going to search for some nicer tones for Meta, too - hope I'll find some ...

Ok, here's another update on my works on your song/lesson Meta.

https://soundcloud.com/mad-gmc/meta3minspreview

I can't seem to get that tone for the clean part brighter than it is right now.. spend too much time on tweaking the tone, better spent that time on getting the octaves-riff tighter biggrin.gif .

Now that riff that comes next will take some practising time laugh.gif

Hey Marc! This is great man! I think you are on the right path, but you should pay a little attention on the following:

- the riff tone should have less highs
- the overall guitar volume is too loud tongue.gif
- there are some small tightness issues when you perform the subdivisions in the chorus riff - 16th notes and 8th notes together in the main riffs
- slight de-balancing here and there

Focus a bit more on these and you can make it shine! BTW the clean tone is MUCH better biggrin.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif
Glad you like it - in a final mix I'll do some mastering, so the volume will fit more the overall mix, but I'll check the highs for the riff tone.
And now... back to practise - riff tightness and Zack Wylde bending biggrin.gif

Marc

Alright! So you got a Meta preset on the Boss GT8 - that's the one, right? biggrin.gif I used to own one, but I traded it for the AMT and some money laugh.gif laugh.gif I felt incredibly frustrated by the multitude of parameters biggrin.gif

Hehe - yes, I use 3 presets on Bank 4 especially for this song smile.gif
And it's fun to switch them while playing along - it works quite well now (got the a-ha effect already while switching between effects when playing your Katatonia-lesson a while ago wink.gif )

But you're right regarding the overwhelming number of possibilities of the gt-8. I'm struggling my way through it, too. I'm using a program called gt8-master. With it I'm able to have all the parameters and the signal chain in a quite simple view and can change them easily... but it's still overwhelming biggrin.gif

Last night I practised to play the Meta-riffs tighter and got that heavy riff at 70% of full speed (btw that's another sick one tongue.gif )

Yeah - he's the man biggrin.gif I saw you both in a mozart rocks concert video you provided some time ago (I remember a wmv-file). You both did an awesome job!

That last video (prs with mesa test) got me biggrin.gif
Because I'm ordering this one in a few days:

http://www.thomann.de/de/prs_se_custom_24_ts_trem.htm

I'll give this prs a test-run, maybe it will replace my epihone lp biggrin.gif

Ah, and don't get me wrong - I decided to order this one a few weeks back already biggrin.gif but Cezar's video reminded me to look if it's still the 11th when this guitar will be available laugh.gif

ph34r.gif I'm sure Jessi's killing me for this... ph34r.gif

Hey Cos, just a short update - weekend was full of non-guitar-playing time sad.gif
But today I was able to improve the speed/timing of the riff I have problems with and did a few recordings on AP-exercises for Gabriel.
I should be able to make the next recording for you within the next two days smile.gif

Hey Marc, no problem mate, ah, the thing we call life got in the way laugh.gif Yeah, I hate it when that happens - you make a plan and then all of a sudden the phone rings and it's dad on the phone, not giving a darn on what you have to do and he needs I dunno what - he could get it himself at any time you know... That's what usually happens in my case. One of the little disadvantages of living in a big house with the whole clan laugh.gif

laugh.gif nice one biggrin.gif - but yeah, something like this always happens biggrin.gif

OK - so I'm isolating a riff, that's still a problem to play clean up to speed in your song 'Meta'. I'll do a recording for you today and maybe you can have a listen smile.gif

cya - and next time - don't answer the phone smile.gif - here we usually have a clan-member right in front of our door to get in to 'destroy' our daily plans biggrin.gif

Hey Marc biggrin.gif imagine that I have 2 of them nasty devices, one on Orange and one on Vodafone... laugh.gif About that riff...it's a nasty one, so I suggest you should try and record it at half speed against a metronome click and send that recording to me wink.gif
