* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Well usually since my barre skills sucks, i try to arrange the notes in differents ways ,so it becomes easier to play.

For example instead of

5 5 5 7 7 7
5 5 5 7 7 7
6 6 6 8 8 8
7 7 7 9 9 9
7 7 7 9 9 9
5 5 5 7 7 7

i would do

x--x
5--7
6--8
7--9
7--9
x--x
1º Tension, there is way too much going using the first form.
2ºi can't seem to get a proper mute on the B string with all the swiftin

things like
this
1---1
1---1
1---2
2---3
3---x
x-- x

are the worse for me ( once again mainly because of the B string)

Or even stuff like, when you do barre rock riff's with the 3 finger

x--------------
x--------------
x --------10-8
x --------10-8
x -------------
x-0-0--------

When it comes to practicing... well it's like a paradox.

Or i play it relax but some mutes (B,G string) fail.
or i do mute them but there's a crap a lot of tension, and i usually stop.

As i told you before, this is my arch enemy, it's easier for me to sit and train a petrucci solo than to do this tongue.gif

Dat B string is like hell for me.

Renato - this sort of stuff is more likely to be encountered rather than Petruccian shredding biggrin.gif

Thing is, I struggled with them myself but at the very beginning back in 98-99 when there were no other distractions such as shredding and such laugh.gif

I can invite you in the v-chat for a quick one on one on barre chords smile.gif just let me know when u have 10 spare minutes wink.gif and if you can hook up yer webcam so I can see you too biggrin.gif

Wait wait, i thought you were like 2 hours a head of me, like 9:30 for me wouldn't it be like 11:30 for you tongue.gif?

Anyways i want your advice in a muscial matter.

So i got this call from this dude - drummer- who plays like over 9000 and is fairly known around Portugal, he ask me if i was interested in going to a rehearsal...for his original's band.
Thing is, i don't know if i should, i am like over 9000 insecure with my technical part, there's still a lot of stuff that make me think that i am not ready (like the chords stuff), so you sir with experience what do you think?

It's good today! tongue.gif me thinks. So what's the plan?
. Btw i've spend all night messing around and i think one of the main problems is the angle in which i barre the note.
