Task 4 : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...rhythm-picking/ Record and upload your version of this lesson by next Thursday 23rd February.

When you've stopped screaming I'll tell you why I chose this. Technical ability does translate across musical genres but sometimes something will be out of your comfort zone and you'll have to feel like a beginner again for a short while. I like challenges like these because they require you to almost 'shred' but in a totally different way. It will also be refreshing for you dudes to do some intense alternate picking with a clean guitar setting too.

Or maybe I just want to keep you guys on your toes.... ph34r.gif

Speed... I don't mind if you can't manage the 140bpm. It's a lot to take onboard and I want you to be able to devote your time to learning the correct parts so speed may have to take a backseat ok ?

Enjoy !!

Do you want us to play it 100% AP, or AP with the slides, or AP with the slides and the hammer-ons? He picks, slides and then hammers-on the same note instead of picking it in the lesson.

I think I'll have to pass this one. Something is wrong with my left hand, as soon as I start playing, my veins pop out and it hurts, no matter what I play. Yesterday I didn't play anything hoping the pain would disappear but today it's back again.

To make things worse, my high E string broke, and I don't have a replacement string, only my garbage Floyd Rose guitar which I can't get to work. And I don't have the money to buy new strings at the moment. I don't even know how to participate in collabs now! sad.gif And I already composed solos for the Racer X and Led Zeppelin collabs. Damn it.

I don't know... Everything went bad for me and I guess I'll have to take a break...

Oh damn it !! D-Man that's not good to hear at all. Could you go and see a doctor about this and ask him to refer you to a proper physician ?

General doctors know enough to cover basic info but they're not experts. In the past when I've seen doctors they haven't told me anything I didn't know from looking on the internet. I'd be a lot happier if you managed to see a specialist.

If you just want to rest it for a week or two then do that but if it comes back you've gotta go see someone about it - that's a direct order from the Sensei ph34r.gif

Thanks. I don't think it's very serious, I just think I overplayed in this month , because when I start my session, I don't know to stop.
So I never made pauses longer than 2 days. I'll try to rest for at least five days, and then see what happens... mellow.gif

Yeah, I think with your insane lesson quest, bushido and collabs, you've just over-done it.

Sucks to hear about the injury, but just don't touch a guitar for a few days for sure. Heal up!

Ow man.. I wish you best of luck and hope it's not very serious and you'll get back to playing soon smile.gif.

By the way, if you won't be able to play the guitar before collab deadlines, you can try to mix your solos using VST plugins, so that they become synth solos instead of guitar biggrin.gif. It'll be a good practice, you'll probably need to adjust some parts of solos to make them more "synthy", and besides it's really fun to experiment with different sounds and textures smile.gif. As for the video.. you can pretend you are playing air piano biggrin.gif. Or draw piano keyboard on paper and play the solo pretending it's a real thing smile.gif.

I think I'm passing this too.. There is something wrong with my guitar's jack input, it was kinda loose for a few days, and a couple hours ago some parts fell down to floor as I attempted to put the jack in. It doesn't hold the jack now sad.gif.

Hah, everybody seems to be having issues this week sad.gif

I've had barely any time to practice this so far, but will extend my practice the next few days - gonna be tough.

I think this could extend the deadline by another week. This is something I have never done and its so tricky to get the rhythm going.. and since everybody seems to be having problems, it could as well give sometime to everyone. Master? If not, I will try to get as much as I can. smile.gif

Cool. I am getting the hang of it. I can do 50% of it now. Learning the rest. I am not sure how to count or tap your feet (very very odd) but I can sing the drum beat almost. smile.gif
