Hi man! Welcome to the site!! I also like Tremonti and Alter Bridge. Here you will find all the material and exercises to learn to play his style. The secret is a strong technique (Riffing, Alternate Picking, Legato, Sweep Picking) and a very powerful tone. Also his composing abilities are really good so some harmony and theory will help a lot.
I'm giving a Technique course ever Friday at the Video Chat Forum. Check out the LESSON NOTES from the previous sessions.
Enjoy GMC!

Welcome to GMC smile.gif I too played so much at the start that I injured both hands/arms so I feel your pain sad.gif It was after that, I got really in to doing hand/arm stretches (we do them every sat in my video chats before playing) and warming up/cooling down, drinking lots of water on heavy practice days, etc. When you really get going, it's actually pretty easy to over do it. Some players can put it down once the pain kicks in, some (like me) play through it and risk permanent injury. It's actually a life lesson that can be learned through guitar discipline. Essentially, the lesson is about BALANCE. Being able to put it down, even though you'd rather take a beating than do so.

There are many things the discipline/riddle of the guitar can teach us. As an instructor, I'm still learning what they are. I've actually been learning lots from BEN HIGGINS lately about this sort of thing. Check out his posts and lessons and all the other great instructors here. We are here for you smile.gif
