Music Artist Design Help, Where do I start? Options

Okay guys.

I just picked out an artist name for myself: ANALYZED WITHIN.

I setup a YouTube channel for it and now I want to start in the design process to get things together for:

-YouTube
-BandCamp
-Any other sites I might want to do.

First, do you guys know of any design artists I can check out? I suppose I need to have some sort of idea of what I want. But first I want to create the way my name looks before the outer design. Such as, I am very inspired by how these following sites look in the design.

What do you think, guys? Where do I start? I wanna just jump right in and start work while I compose music. This way, I'll be all ready when I start releasing music. I have big dreams!! But I'm a newbie.

Look up AIP | ART on Facebook (look for his email), he designed my logo. After that I did some editing of myself for my page, minor and easy. His prices are fair too.

Backgrounds, textural images, stuff like that I did in a program called GIMP - which is a free program very akin to Photoshop. Google images is your friend, just make sure you include "royalty free" or something similar in the search to avoid any unlikely troubles. Do you need a bandcamp designed, youtube, or both? Depending on what exactly you're looking for the rule of thumb is to follow a color scheme like warms, cools, or neutrals to get something easily pleasing to eyes. My current one is obviously mainly blue, so cool colors is what I went with.

My old one was done in neutrals, darker and lighter shades of grays, blacks, and tans. Warmer colors like red, orange, or yellow are best used sparingly, as overabundance of them can hurt your eyes.

You can obviously mix them, so a color wheel is always helpful to find good relations between "schemes".

Background images are easy, just google whatever you want, find a square ratio like 1000x1000 or 500x500 as they fit easier into browsers and are simple to resize. Also, adding the word "texture" to a search can yield good results, like "metal texture", "water texture", "rust texture" etc. To find something that can fit a color scheme but is something more than just a single color.

There are tons of great artists around for this type of work. First up

1.)WHAT IS YOUR BUDGET

This will pretty much govern al the other variables. If your budget is zero, you can still work it out. You will just need to find someone willing to help you out in exchange for whatever publicity your social media can provide for his / her artwork.

If you have a few hundred bux (U.S.) or so (maybe a bit more), you can try a truly killer guy who just did the PRMAL FEAR album/social media art design.

You could try going to deviantart.com and approaching someone whose work you like. Look for artists in places like Singapore as it will cost you a lot less!

I would certainly try and put a concept together in writing to give the artist a brief to work from.

I think it's good to be creating your brand and image as soon as you are sure of the direction the music will be in.

I'll be doing similar, once I stop changing my mind.
