I'm lucky enough to be friends with a singing teacher. She sings in our church band and is willing to give lessons for free to anyone in the band.

I've sung all my life and whilst I've bought teaching dvds etc. This has been the first time I've had a proper vocal assessment.

The bad news - I've abused my voice somewhat in the past and have some exercises to do to clean up some of the raspiness on my top range.

The Good news - Apparently she is really impressed with my range and how high my voice can get (she had me hitting the C and D above middle C).

Now I've just go to practice and do my exercises daily.

Well done, Matt ! smile.gif

Wow, that is damn high... most average male voices struggle at anything above A, so you're in Bruce Dickinson and Dio territory there wink.gif

Great to hear this mate! Singing will help you out in your musical journey in a huge amount biggrin.gif I started taking lessons in 2008 and slowly realized the potential behind this craft. You have an instrument inside yourself, so use it wisely wink.gif
