Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Good take! I can tell you spent some time learning this lesson!
And I think you did very very well!
A few things you need to work on:
-Bends you can use a tuner to get use to the pitch just plug in your guitar into tuner and try bending the string until you hit the right not perfectly!
-Fast licks you can practice at a very slow tempo using a metronome and you will see huge results in a few weeks!
-Timing when you are practicing always use a metronome and set it to a very slow speed!
You are definitely on the right track and getting there!
Good job!

Good effort ! Alex has some great advice here so I won't repeat it again..

You've got the basics of bending and vibrato sorted, it's just a case of honing them, that's all.

I think you coped very well with the sweeping and tapping, as I personally wouldn't include those techniques in a beginner solo because I think it's too much too soon.. so considering that, you did a good job smile.gif

When you're doing vibrato on the G string, try doing it with a downward motion as you are pushing them upward at the moment.

I explain all this a lot better in my video here, I hope it helps :

Nice try ! On the first place -i think that your guitar isn't tuned properly. The second- you should work on a bends ,it's a very important element and you should devote more attention to that technique. Also try to slower down original tempo, fast licks are not stable as they should be. This could be a much better very quickly just keep practicing !

Hi mate. You did a good effort on this one and you are not so far of mastering it. The other guys already gave you some guidelines to know what things you should improve. Let's summarize everything:

+Bending: Some of your bends don't reach the correct pitch. Work on this technique
+Vibrato: Ben gave you an excellent link to improve it.
+Timing: There are some phrases that are a bit off tempo. Concentrate on that.
+Tapping: The notes from the tapping don't sound clear, most of them sound a bit muted. Isolate the idea an practice it slower with metronome.
