Hi Yash! nice video! As I commented during our chat, you have to focus on the pitch of your singing. You have a nice voice and I think that this could sound much better with more precise tuning. You need to train your voice and your ears for this.

The first important question is, do you note the pitch issues?

Sometimes. When I sing along with the real track, almost no. I am tone deaf I think sad.gif

but what happens when you listen to the video that you shared? Can you note the parts that need pitch adjustment?

Please do it and tell me what you hear!

A good exercise to train your voice and ear would be to practice what singers call "vocalizations" over a scale. The idea is the following:

- Check out the tonality of the song you want to play and the scale that works with it. In this case "Dance or Death" is in E minor.

- Play the scale slowly up and down paying attention to the sound of each note.

- Play each note followed by you singing the note with any vocal. Be sure to sing the notes in pitch.

- Play the whole scale singing along the notes.

- Sing the scale without playing guitar. Record yourself doing it. Listen to it, and play the notes with your guitar to compare the pitch.

- Sing the scale over the song's backing.

- Do this workout 20 minutes every day.

Is it clear? Trust me, that your tuning while you sing will become a lot better.

Hi Yash, this is something that needs practice. You have to start slowly, just with one note. Play the note, and try to sing it, get back to the guitar note, sing it again... this requires many repetitions if you are not getting the correct pitch.

Be patient mate, don't be dramatic. As everything related to music, it needs time and practice. wink.gif

I was thinking that you could give a try to this list of lessons:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/instructor/Luciana-Segovia/

There you will find warming ups, and many other exercises to improve your singing abilities.

Hi Yash! Great to know that you are back! This is my method to buy something when I don't have experience with it. The first thing I do is to define my budget to know what's my range. Then, I start searching at an online store or something like "ebay" but from my country. There I check all the models that I can afford. I see which are the most sold ones, which are usually the ones that offer the best "price-quality" deal. Once I have around 3 or 4 possible ones. I check if there is one that I don't like how it looks and eliminate it. Once I have the 3 possible, I send the links to some experienced friends who can help me and I read some reviews online. The final step, if it's possible, I go to the music store and try them to see which one feels better for me.

This is process works for me every time I need something that I've never bought before. I can follow this steps with you if you need it.

So the steps are:

Budget
Most sold in my range
Eliminate the bad looking ones
Check for reviews and friend's opinions
Try it at the store
Buy it

I suggested to to a preliminary selection online, but I suggested to take the decision once you can try the 3 that your selected based on online researches. I consider the two final step fundamentals!

Try it at the store
Buy it

Ok, so a good plan would be to go to the store and see what models are there, and then get back here and tell me. We can do an analysis of which one would be the best option based on my experience, researches and also on what you felt when you play it. What do you say?

Great! Maybe you can also call them on Monday just to know what models are currently there and we can do some previous research to make your visit even more helpful. What do you think?

What about your singing practice? Have you checked the lesson that I suggested? It would be very important to keep a diary practice of your singing. I personally use to do it and note a big difference when I keep practice every day, my singing abilities improve a lot. Please let me know if the lesson suggested helped and record and audio or video over the backing to let me check the tuning. wink.gif
