> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi John, really great take!
Nothing to add... smile.gif
Hope you'll use all the chords in a musical context, tunes, standards, compositions...

If Stephane says that this is great - I can't add anything smile.gif ! Generally I have only one objection- a small dose of uncertainty.
Also I have the impression that the guitar is a bit out of tune at some points, old strings?

Good take! Playing is almost perfect!
I think your guitar is out of tune and I would like to hear chords more clear!
The thing is when you are playing chord melody you have to find a perfect balance between a chord and a note
I can suggest to listen more chord melody guitar players and try to hear what they are doing!
This is a very good exercise to do, but I think listening will add more to it!

Great take John !

Try and watch out for those naughty strings going out of tune wink.gif

Very interesting point about what Alex said, not just applicable to you but I think it's something we can all think about ! smile.gif
