Task 9: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Hard_Rock_80s_Part_2/

As you've probably noticed from the other threads, it's time to get bendy !

I've given you a melodic solo this week.. it's quite long but thankfully it's not too busy so it shouldn't take you too long to memorise the piece so you can get working on it wink.gif

Deadline next Friday 20th April

Here you go Ben.

I noticed the last bend is kinda off and something doesn't sound right (forgot to check the tuning sad.gif ). Its my first time trying to use the foot pedal and concentration needs some practicing as well. Just had to record this before the power went off. Hopefully, its good.

Thanks,
Chandra

Nice work, maharzan!

Will post my take tomorrow, I still need extra practice on the fast pentatonic part - keep tripping up.

Looking forward to the rest of the takes, too.

Hey Chandra, wow Cem is right - that is some ass kicking vibrato !

I'll get my coat...

laugh.gif

Yeah I think the G string might have been flat (it's always the G isn't it ?) but your playing is great. This Task was about bending and you got that part sorted but I might as well mention something else I noticed which is you could benefit from introducing more pick dynamics to emphasise certain notes or even do slight pinch harmonics etc, so that's something that you could do that would make your playing even more impressive smile.gif

Congrats on the take !

It all started from your vibrator Ben! biggrin.gif

Yep, I agree. I did try harmonics, but I suck at it. Can't really get it. will have to learn. Thanks for your suggestions.

Man, submission days are too stressful!!

Thoughts on this take are that it's too 'stiff' for my liking ( .. ph34r.gif ) and I should've thrown in more vibrato at certain parts to stop it sounding dead. Shaky start, and my ring finger didn't enjoy doing those four mini bends over and over, trying to get a decent take, def. a strength issue there, too. Was fun using delay, pretty much always stay away from extra effects.

Anyhow, enjoy wink.gif

Greetings Dude of Dark. Thank you for your take.

Agreed, there is some stiffness there.... (oh my god..) but the bending side of things is generally on the money. That four mini bend lick is a b*tch isn't it ? That would be a good one to get under your belt to add it to your arsenal, though ! smile.gif

Cheers, it could use some work, though.
