Hey guys i'm really happy with this EP, it's the first thing i've recorded seriously! My band it's called Kalidia (like my nick), we are a power metal band from Italy! Drums is made with drum machine. Our producer is Alessio Lucatti (keys in Vision Divine & Etherna) outstanding musician & producer smile.gif Solos of Reign of Kalidia and shadows will be gone are almost totally improvised.
Hope you enjoy smile.gif))

Voice Nicoletta (my girlfriend!)
Guitar Federico (me!)
keys Nicola
Bass Roberto
Drums Alessandro

Nice! The tracks really sound good and the songs are really clever and well put together! Give us a bit more info eh? What was your part in the production process? Are you the creative force in the band? Who writes? What did you use to record the guitars? Amp/Emulation, some pics maybe?

The tracks are really good! Bring us behind the scenes a bit?

sounds really cool, your singer has a lovely tone for this genre. Like Todd said bring us behind the scene, what amp/mic set up etc.
Cheers and congrats.

Thanks ! I've written the music and my girlfriend (the singer) has written the vocal parts and the lyrics. As i said all was recorded in the studio of Alessio Lucatti (where vision divine are recording too..) and fully produced by himself, I think he made an excellent work! Three of this four tracks will go on a italian metal compilation made by the label "Underground Symphony".
To record the guitar I used a peavy 5150 no emulation (wich is an amazing amp!!), my ibanez iceman and the vox wah (satriani signature). The keyboards were korg (one of them was a Triton) while drums are made with drum machine. It was the first time i entered a recording studio so i'm not really aquantaited with the equipment (i know he used cubase) and we leave all the production to Alessio. I'll ask what mic was used and let you know!! smile.gif

Sounded really good! I always love a female vocal for this genre.

I really like the keys and guitar mix.

Great job!

Hey Frederico! Respect for your good music mate! smile.gif The production is nice and the sound as well - I am not too well versed in this genre but, nevertheless, I am making these affirmations relying on what the music makes me feel, so it's good man! biggrin.gif

What is the next step? I am thinking promotion wise smile.gif

Cosmin

Thanks Cosmin!! We're trying to promote our music on myspace, facebook and youtube! I'm also going to do the website and we are thinking of making the artwork for this EP and submit it to some metal website to get a review! smile.gif If you guys have some extra-advice on how to promote the songs i'll be happy to hear them smile.gif

Wou!!! Congrats mate! You arrange and compose like the famous power metal bands. The melodies, solos and arrangements are very intelligent and tasty. I wish my first EP sound as good as this one. You guys have a new fan! Keep me updated! smile.gif
