Task 16: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey/
Greetings brave carriers of the guitar ! This time we're looking at classical vibrato.. that weird side to side thing that you sometimes see people do If you remember that link I gave you before to those videos I made, you'll find the second video talks about this type of vibrato If you get through this intact then I'll be giving you something a little trickier.... Deadline is next Saturday 19th May |

Here I am again on this great Odyssey adventure. Yeah loved this one. Ben I stoked I'm on the mountain. I would have never really jumped into these on my own so thank you.
Bit time poor at the moment so this is far from perfect but it's got my feet wet. I appreciate Grind's effort on these lesson but he still doesn't have any donuts ha! Lucky for me though that Sensie Ben say's no to Chandra who's trying to be greedy and steel extra. Cheers http://soundcloud.com/zoomify/vibrato-odyssey-1 Listening back to this I think my Vibrato is to fast? This post has been edited by zoom: May 17 2012, 01:06 PM |

Really happy you're getting a lot out of the Bushido process ! It's not for everybody and there's many bodies of people who have fallen along the way.... Regards the speed of vibrato, you could actually do with introducing some which are even faster than that. You've got a good, medium speed vibrato happening which suits the piece very well but you can hear in the original lesson that there's ones which are even quicker so no, they're not too fast |

Hey Ben,
I'm still late... Here is my take. I still need to work on it, as my vibratos seem too light sometimes. But I'm learning and loving it. Zoom, well done. Do you know I'm starving because of you ? http://soundcloud.com/grindguer/bens-vibrato-odyssey-1/s-Aku6s -------------------- Million-to-one chances crop up nine times out of ten.

I can hear the undulating effect of the vibrato and it's great. You've all really got the grasp of this technique which is great because it's not well used in guitar playing that much |

Having trouble with the video tonight, so audio only.
This was much easier on the fingers (compared to task 15), but it seems it'll take a while to make it smooth and effective. It's definitely a good vibrato style to know. BushidoApprenticeTask16MossRoller.mp3 ( 642.25K ) Number of downloads: 133 |

Yeah, this technique does take a while to sculpt.. but it's encouraging when you can hear the wibble wobble of the strings. Sooner or later, you'll be able to control the tempo of the vibrato a bit more and keep it going a bit longer too |
