I haven't seen it since last year in Greece, but until 2010 I've been at the seaside each year without any exception since I was 3 years old smile.gif I am very fond of swimming and water in general, so I can't quite stay away from it.

I see it everyday when I drive over this.

But it's Florida, so the water is vile and disgusting, a dark sickly blue sad.gif

Not anything unusually high. Most of the water off Florida, on the Gulf side, is a very dark blue color except up north around the Panama City, Destin, Ft. Walton area where it's very nice. White sand and turquoise water. Same with the Keys and various other spots. But in general it's not like Chandra's pictures for sure.

The Gulf for the most part is just a disgusting place to swim as I see it. Very few places here on the beach actually looks beautiful.

I was going to ask if it was the Sunshine Skyway, but saw the name of the attachment when I went to reply. Is Tampa Bay that nasty? We went over to Cedar Key some time back (hoping to see a nice beach) and that place smelled awful.

Ben, I live about an hour from each coast in Florida but really don't care for the beaches. Dealing with a two lane highway almost all the way, the crowds, you name it. I think the only people that rant about our Florida beaches are people who have never been to them.

Yeah I can understand that. The reality of tourism just isn't worth it sometimes smile.gif

Luckily enough for me. I see the sea on a daily basis.

My school is actually on the sea, or well, the Gulf of Mexico.
