Hey guys! I noticed that if I'm not playing the guitar, I'm listening to music. I mostly use my notebook and my cell pone for it. I'm sure that music is also a big part of your life so I was wondering... what do you use to listen to music?

These are my main music players. I use the notebook with a pair of monitors.

Mostly I use my mobile connected to Spotify, since I listen to music when I commute to work. But, when I really want to listen to music, call me snob or old fashion, nothing beats my old Technics turntable.

I use my home stereo, desktop computer (and sometimes run it through my Crate GX 212 if my wife and son are not home biggrin.gif ) and also 2 portable radios located in the kitchen and my son's room. My laptop's sound is pathetic, so I don't even bother with it. biggrin.gif

it depends on what I am doing. If I am running or at work, I use my iphone. I actually bought an iHome so I could leave it in the kitchen at work and listen to music while I cook.

If I am studying guitar at home, I use my HP Laptop with my iPhone headphones that I use when I run.

If I am listening to music during some free time, I use the stereo in my living room, which has a record player and a hi-fi needle(I love vinyl. Nothing else has such high sound quality.). I use my Sennheiser PX 360's for this.

Someday, when I have a lot of money and the gear I want, I will spend money on something as nice as the Sennheiser HD 800's. They are currently far too expensive for me to consider.

Depends on where I am.

If I'm at home then usually it's the main stereo:

Mitchell Orbe turntable
Meridian CD Player
Audiolab 8000T tuner
Cyrus Pre amp
2x Cyrus monobloc Power amps
Sonus Faber Concert monitors

At work - well I'm sure you can guess.

Would that happen to be the illustrious Michell Orbe MKII SE? I got to use one of those one time. That was when I tried the Sennheiser HD 800. It was the best auditory experience of my life.

Not quite - my one is the Orbe Mk11 rather than the SE so it has the perspex case as well. It's a few years old but it still sounds and looks as wonderful as the day it arived smile.gif. Got it to replace our old Roksan Xerxes, which had replaced a Linn, which had replaced a Rega Planar 3... The Orbe though is here to stay. In my opinion vinyl records played on the Orbe absolutely slays digital for quality and musicality.

For those who want to see what we're on about this the Orbe here

It depends. When at home I would usually listen on my monitors. If in the car, iPod through the tape player adapter for the car sound system. Or portable... earbuds with the iPod.

They might even want to look at this as well.

I have to say that my Audophilia can be a hassle sometimes, but it is a good thing in the long run.

At home I use my pc to a home stereo system, then from that I use my Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones. On the go I can use my iPod or iPhone and link it to car stereo via an interface. Last but not least when I'm outside I use my iPhone and a set of Beats by Dr. Dre.

I have some cheaper Sennheiser and they sound good, those ones must be so great.

For me, I usually have everything on my 160 GB ipod (it's actually almost full). Other than that, if I'm running or just chilling at home I use pandora.

I love pandora because of how it lets me discover so many new, interesting bands.
