You live only one life, why not make it as adventurous as possible? If I could manage to secure an Internet based job, I would pack up, move to Thailand, and live in a Muay Thai training facility.

I got this idea from someone who has done it. He said it was one of the best experiences of his life. He lived there for 6 months and trained for about 5 hours a day. While he was there, there were other people there from all around the world training. Men and women, young and old. Many of them had Internet based jobs, and spent all their free time training and enjoying life on the beach. Its pretty cheap as well. Your living expenses will be less than what you pay living anywhere in the US or Western Europe. Sounds like a pretty nice life to me biggrin.gif

Here are a few places that offer training and accommodation packages. If any of you decide to do it, please share pictures and your experiences!

That does look pretty awesome !! And a beautiful island too.

Only thing I'd be worried about is getting injured and not being able to get good hospital treatment being a foreigner. I dunno how these things work.. insurance ???

I'd be up for it though.. hey, let's see if we're both in the position to do it one day and we'll go together ! wink.gif

Hell yeah Ben! I'm sure we'd have a great time and have a lot of stories to tell.

The doctors there will probably be able to treat almost any injury you can get from training in Muay Thai. Millions of western tourists go to Thailand every year, so there has to be medical facilities that cater to these people. But I would doubt it if they have highly advanced treatments for complex health problems. This is just speculation of course wink.gif

Well anything Internet based, but nothing in particular blink.gif It doesn't have to pay that much, just enough to sustain me for about 6 months. Living in Thailand is pretty cheap, and the food is very inexpensive. For now though, this is just a dream, as I have to finish up a degree. But who knows, it might be a possibility next year when I'm done wink.gif

This looks and sounds very interesting !

For sure it is an experience for lifetime and if you really feel that way to do it --do it !

Your experience and improvement will be not only physically spiritual too .

Save some money - maybe 5000 Dollars - and you are on the right site .

The only thing to take more care is diseases like Aids Hepatitis and that kind of stuff.

To find real friendship might be better then the easy way of sex!

Food you should know where to eat or make it yourself - but there should be a lot of people who know whats going on .

Muay Thai is a real hard material art way but a chance too to get more into one self .

Would be great to hear more from you on that way !

All the Best !

Dieter

You're right, Muay Thai, or any martial art, gets you more in tune with your body. There is much more to it than the violent aspect.

As far as the food, I've lived in countries that had third world restaurant standards, so I'm pretty sure I can tolerate their food haha
